The menu at this Leslieville favourite is simple, sweet and utter perfection. The headlining pizza is stripped down to its foundations: crust, sauce, cheese, toppings. Each is singularly flawless. The zucchini has a wonderfully smoky flavour, the Ontario-made mozzarella could give a lesson on why we love cheese, and the heat-fired crust resides gloriously at the intersection between crispy and chewy. The wines and Italian beers are lovely, well-priced and worthy companions to the solids of the meal. The atmosphere is dynamic: an airy, open space overseen by friendly servers who take their efforts to please seriously. The huge windows on the second floor afford a charming view of the streetcar barn.
